Matilda R. Widenhofer

Matilda R. “Tillie” Widenhofer, 83, of 415 N. Main St., died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday at her home.

Born in Tarr, Westmoreland County, March 26, 1922, she was the daughter of Robert Kane and Della Finfrock Mawhinney.

She retired as a salesclerk at Miller’s Meats.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy and her husband, Kenneth Doherty, of Boca Raton, Fla., and Beverly Widenhofer of Butler; a son, Dennis J. Widenhofer and his wife, Rita, of Vero Beach, Fla.; and two sisters, Mrs. Betty Keiser of East Berlin, Pa. and Mrs. Andrew (Jane) Drazga of Uniontown.

Also surviving are four grandchildren, Robert Widenhofer of Austin, Texas, Lori Roberts of Lincoln Park, Mich., Linda Hagen of Vero Beach and Wendy Zickler of Lincoln Park; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandsons.

WIDENHOFER — Friends of Matilda R. “Tillie” Widenhofer, who died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave. A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.
