Kelsey Spencer and Chelsey Pavlick both scored 11 points and Ashley Turici added 10 as Seneca Valley (2-2) downed Mars in a Butler-County showdown, 43-40 in high school girls basketball action Wednesday night.
Julie Utz led the Planets with 15 points.

The Slippery Rock High School wrestling team picked up five pins to help the Rockets beat Hickory 42-36 Tuesday night.It was the first time in school history that Slippery Rock defeated Hickory in wrestling.Peter Didik (112), James Brown (119), Jarrod Vinoe (152), Chris Barron (171) and Pat Kearney (215) all recorded pins for the Rockets.Didik's pin came in just 46 seconds and Kearney recorded his fall in just under a minute.Heavyweight Steve Kay also recorded a big 5-3 victory.
