The New Year’s Eve Family Communion Service scheduled at Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, has been cancelled. The service will be rescheduled.
The guest speaker for the 10:45 a.m. morning worship service on Sunday will be the Rev. Barry Mohney, retired minister. Children’s church will be lead by Ashley McIndoe.
There will be no evening service on Sunday.
The Kid’s Club Caravan group will resume meeting at the church at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.

A New Year’s Eve celebration will be held Saturday at Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St. The event will begin with a worship service at 7 p.m. A pork, hot dog and sauerkraut meal will follow from 8 to 10 p.m. in the social hall. The meal is free, and an offering will be accepted to benefit hurricane victims in the Gulf Coast region.Recorded and live musical entertainment will begin at 10 p.m. in the sanctuary. A short prayer service will follow at 11:30 p.m. At midnight, participants will travel outside to watch fireworks.The Sit and Be Fit program will continue to be held at 10 a.m. Wednesdays in 2006. A time of snacks and socializing follows each workout.
The Sacrament of Baptism will be performed at the 6 p.m. Saturday service at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. The Praise Team will perform at the service.
