Rose Marie Iarrapino

Rose Marie Capicotto Iarrapino, 85, of Butler, formerly of Eighth Avenue, died Tuesday morning at Sunnyview Nursing Home after a long illness.

Born in Butler, Aug. 13, 1920, she was the daughter of Salvatore and Mary Fratto Capicotto.

She was an honors graduate of Butler High School, attended The Butler Business School and had worked at Armco-Butler Works before her marriage.

Mrs. Iarrapino was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family and friends.

She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and the ladies guild of the church.

Surviving are a son, Thomas A. Iarrapino III of Pittsburgh; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda and Anthony Antonacci of Lower Burrell and Debora and Thomas Moore of Butler; and six grandchildren, Elizabeth Iarrapino (Marco Bellin) of Millbrook, N.Y., Matthew S. Iarrapino of Washington, D.C., T. Phillips Iarrapino of Pittsburgh and Ryan T., Shaun C. and Stacee N. Moore, all of Butler.

A brother, Samuel J. Capicotto Jr. of Butler, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Her husband, Thomas A. Iarrapino, whom she married April 22, 1946, died March 2, 1994. A sister, Genevieve Gallo, also preceded her in death.

IARRAPINO — Friends of Rose Marie Capicotto Iarrapino, who died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Center Avenue, with the Rev. James Dolan officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael Parish will conduct a scriptural wake service at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
