Union's Koch nets 1,000th point

Bethany Koch needed 19 points to get to 1,000 in her career.

She got 19 points.

The Union senior led the way for the Damsels in a 68-39 girls basketball win over Clarion-Limestone Wednesday night.

Koch also had eight rebounds for 11-1 Union.

Nikki Davis continued her torrid play, too, scoring 19 points for Union.

Koch joins Andrea Mortimer in the 1,000-point club for the Damsels this season.

The Butler varsity diving team is off to a successful start as team captains Jessica Schnur and John Rhodaberger both already have qualified for the WPIAL meet. Pat Kaiser, a junior, has qualified for the WPIAL meet as well.
