Michael J. McCommon

Michael J. McCommon, 45, of Butler died at 5:42 p.m. Saturday while hunting.

Born Oct. 11, 1960, in Butler, he was the son of Thomas A. McCommon and Esther Undercuffler Bachman.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing.

Mr. McCommon worked at the Bear Metallurgical Co. in East Butler.

Surviving are his companion, Terri Henry; a daughter, Erin McCommon of Las Vegas, Nev.; a son, Ryan A. McCommon of Butler; and a granddaughter.

Also surviving are his father and stepmother, Thomas and Virginia McCommon of Connoquenessing; his mother and stepfather, Esther and Kenneth Bachman of Butler; two sisters, Mrs. Ted (Sherri) Rekich of Butler and Joan Roddy of Oil City; three half-sisters, Lorrie Manning of Butler, Tammy Manning of Emlenton and Beth Ann Gold of W.Va.; five brothers, Thomas McCommon of Butler, Martin McCommon of Renfrew, Paul Nagy of Chicora, Richard Nagy of South Carolina and Frank Nagy of Butler; a half-brother, Daniel Manning of Butler; his maternal grandfather, Howard Undercuffler of Butler; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by a nephew.

McCOMMON — Friends of Michael J. McCommon, who died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Neyman, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, officiating.
