Brian Charnock recently returned from a year tour of duty in Iraq.He was part of the Army's 98th Division deployed to numerous sites throughout Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The division's soldiers conducted noncommissioned officer education and military occupational specialty qualification courses for the Iraqi Army.On Jan. 8, he was awarded the "Welcome Home Warrior-Citizen Award" by Col. Lawrence Kelly, Commander, 2nd Brigade, 98th Division.Charnock, a 1995 graduate of Seneca Valley High School, is employed by the Pennsylvania State Police as a liquor enforcement officer. He also is working on completing his degree in computer management at Penn State Behrend College.He is the son of Dave and Cathy Charnock of Cranberry Township.
Charles Muehlbronner, son of Charles and Nina Muehlbronner of Harrisville, entered the Air Forces delayed entry program on April 22, 2005.Muehlbronner, a 1997 graduate of Slippery Rock High School, shipped to basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, on Jan. 3.
Brian Grenda, son of Jon and Peggie Grenda of Sarver, PA, entered the delayed entry program of the Air Force on Aug. 2, 2005, and shipped to basic training at Lackland Air Force Base on Jan. 3.Grenda is a 2003 graduate of Freeport High School.Pfc.
Craig Hilke recently graduated from Marine Corps basic training at Parris Island, S.C.Hilke, a 2005 graduate of Lawrence County Vo-Tech, is the son of Patrick Hilke and Diane Grzesiuk of New Castle.He will attend Marine Combat training at Camp Lejeune, N.C., and then will be trained to serve as an avionics technician."
