Anna Chos Rutkoski

Anna Chos Rutkoski, 86, of Home Avenue died Tuesday afternoon at her home after a long battle with cancer.

Born Dec. 7, 1919, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of Nickolas and Dorothy Birich Chos.

She was a graduate of Butler High School. She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, fishing, boating, playing cards, solving jigsaw puzzles and cooking with her family.

Mrs. Rutkoski was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are two sons, Victor Rutkoski and his wife, Nancy, of Erie and John Rutkoski and his wife, Kathleen, of Butler; a daughter, Ann McKelvey and her husband, Jim, of Cornwall, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Reva Hunt and her husband, David, of Mars, Erin Wallace and her husband, David, of Pittsburgh; Rachel Rutkoski of Cranberry Township, John Rutkoski of Butler, Beth Engutan and her husband, Carl, of Pittsburgh and Elizabeth McKelvey of White Plains, N.Y.; and a great-grandchild, Brenna Hunt.

Also surviving are a sister, Dorothy Chos Giesler of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Stanley Rutkoski, whom she married Jan. 8, 1941, died March 22, 2004. Two sisters, Amelia Pascazi and Helen Herman; and two brothers, John and Stephen Chos, also preceded her in death.

RUTKOSKI — Friends of Anna Chos Rutkoski, who died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St. Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum.Members of the St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 9:35 a.m. Saturday at the church.Memorial donations to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
