Louis Wasko Jr.
Louis Wasko Jr., 88, of Butler died at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at Sunnyview Nursing Home.
Born Dec. 18, 1916, in Lyndora, he was the son of Louis Sr. and Margaret Boys Wasko; and the stepson of the late Florence Toth Wasko.
He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Mr. Wasko was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Lyndora American Legion.
He had been a television repairman for years and retired from Armco-Butler Works as a Hilltop turn leader.
Surviving are his ex-wife, Audrey Pennington Wasko of Butler; two daughters, Deborah Hagler of Fort Mill, S.C., and Lisa Schrecongost of Slippery Rock; four sons, Dennis Wasko and his wife, Darlene, of Florence, S.C., Richard Wasko of Charlotte, N.C., Terry Wasko of Lynchburg, Va., and Brian Wasko and his wife, Kim, of Washington, D.C.; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He also is survived by two sisters, Juanita Lefferts and Gerry Kurtz, both of Philadelphia; and a brother Andrew Wasko of Frederick, Md.
Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
<b>WASKO</b> — There will be no visitation. A memorial Mass for Louis Wasko Jr., who died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, will be held at his church later.
