Pearl Smith Clark

Pearl Smith Clark, 84, of Butler died at 11:15 a.m. Monday at Sunnyview Home.

Born March 15, 1921, in Evans City, she was the daughter of Harry Byers and Annorah Riley Abbott Byers.

She was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church, where she had taught Sunday school. She was a former member of the Greenwood Village Ladies Auxiliary and the Highfield Community Association Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Clark had worked at Pullman Standard during World War II and later worked at Bobbie Brooks.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Deborah) Sacco of Butler; two granddaughters, Mrs. Timothy (Nichols) Holt and Liane Spears, both of Butler; and two great-granddaughters, Caroline and Madalyn Holt. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Smith Jr., who died Sept. 23, 1973; a great-grandson; four sisters, and two brothers.

CLARK — Friends of Pearl Smith Clark, who died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Trinity Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dennis Molnar officiating.
