SRU basketball splits pair with Clarion
Jamar Scales scored 17 points, but the Slippery Rock University men's basketball team received another loss, this time falling to Clarion University 60-54 in overtime Wednesday night.
The Rock's battle cry this season has been close, but not close enough.
The loss was the eighth this season for SRU (1-18, 0-4) by six points or fewer.
Terrance Vaughns scored 16 points and Ricky Henderson came off the bench to scored 16 points of his own for Clarion (10-7, 2-1).

— Matt Lobaugh scored 23 points to lead four Pioneers in double digits.
The win marks the first time in BCCC history that it has swept Potomac State in a season series.
Butler High School graduate Wil Miller added 15 points and nine rebounds, Jeremy Peterson scored 14 and Moniteau grad Tyler Hempfling added 11 for the Pioneers (11-9).
Butler grad Joel Rehm also had seven assists.
