Robert P. Wilkin

Robert P. Wilkin, 90, of 370 Portman Road died Tuesday.

Born May 25, 1915, in Butler, he was a son of William B. and Rose Portman Wilkin.

At the age of 18, he was an apprentice at Fretz Moon Tube and then worked as a machinist at Sharon Tube. He next was a maintenance foreman at Keystone Pipe & Supply and continued working at Keystone Tubular Supply and Marmon/Keystone until his retirement in 1980 after 45 years.

He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Jean Cannon of Butler, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

WILKIN — There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian burial for Robert P. Wilkin, who died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Franklin Street, with the Rev. Pierre Falkenhan officiating. Cremation services are provided by the GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME.The Women's Council of St. Peter will recite the rosary at 9:40 a.m. Saturday at the church.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Program of the Visiting Nurses Association, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.Please visit the funeral home Web site at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
