Carmen J. Sequete

Carmen J. "Sonny" Sequete, 74, of 1703 Stoneridge Blvd. died at 2:30 a.m. Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital after an illness.

Born in Butler, May 16, 1931, he was the son of Carl J. and Mary L. Chiprean Sequete.

He was the owner and operator of Butler Home Improvement for 10 years. He also had owed the Cabana Bar and had worked at Miller's Shoe Store.

Mr. Sequete was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Terri Sequete of Butler and Randall and Missy Sequete of Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Terry Card of Deland, Fla., and Lisa and Umberto DeRosa of Boca Raton, Fla.; two brothers, C. Richard and Larry E. Sequete, both of Butler; and seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Lauren, Jennifer and Katelyn Sequete, all of Butler, Kiarra Sequete of Ohio, and Luca DeRosa and Bryan Card, both of Florida.

He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Sequete, who died in 1990.

SEQUETE — Friends of Carmen J. "Sonny" Sequete, who died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Center Avenue, with the Rev James Dolan, officiating. Entombment will be St. Michael Mausoleum.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael Parish will hold a scriptural wake service at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
