Patricia J. Dearolph

Patricia Jean "Pat" Shirey Dearolph, 76, of Oviedo, Fla., and the Foxburg-Parker area, died of natural causes on Dec. 21 at her home in Florida.

Born in Foxburg, May 23, 1929, she was the daughter of John E. and Myrtle May Smith Shirey.

She was a 1947 graduate of St. Petersburg High School and had attended classes of higher education at various schools over the years.

Mrs. Dearolph was a member of the Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Sanford, Fla. She was an Episcopalian for 66 years and was baptized, confirmed and married at the Memorial Church of Our Father-Episcopal in Foxburg.

Surviving are her husband, retired Navy Capt. David E. Dearolph, whom she married Aug. 22, 1949; a daughter, Dianne Elaine Carman of Clifton, Va.; three sons, David J. Dearolph of Lynchburg, Va., Douglas J. Dearolph of Knoxville, Tenn., and Daniel J. Dearolph of Oviedo, Fla.; and nine grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Mrs. Beverly Passaro of Butler.

A sister preceded her in death.

DEAROLPH — Visitation and funeral services for Patricia Jean "Pat" Shirey Dearolph, who died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, were held Dec. 29 in Florida. She is temporarily entombed at the Butler County Memorial Park Mausoleum.A funeral service will be held in mid-May at the Memorial Church of Our Father-Episcopal, Foxburg. Burial will follow at the Parker Presbyterian Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Church of Our Father-Episcopal, c/o the Rev. Edward Lowrey, Foxburg, PA 16036.Arrangements are being handled by H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, Parker.
