Elsie and John Dometrovich

John and Elsie Dometrovich of Grove City, formerly of Slippery Rock, marked 70 years of marriage recently with a card shower and a family celebration.

The former Elsie Speck married Dometrovich on Feb. 8, 1936, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Williamsburg.

They have two daughters, Patricia Mitchell of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Eileen Waters of Henderson, Nev.

They also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Dometrovich is retired from U.S. Steel Annandale and Grove City College. He is a member of the Boyers Sportsmen's Association and enjoys fishing.

Mrs. Dometrovich is a former bookkeeper. She enjoys crocheting, crafts and reading.

The couple belongs to St. Peters Roman Catholic Church in Slippery Rock.
