Joseph R. Kalinowski

Joseph R. “Pappy” Kalinowski, 56, of Winfield Township died Tuesday in the emergency room at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.

Born March 12, 1949, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Regina Jablonski Kalinowski.

He lived in Winfield Township for the past 33 years, and prior to that, he lived in Natrona.

Mr. Kalinowski was a paramedic with the Shaler EMS.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially listening to his son play the guitar.

Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Sandra Gibson Kalinowski; a son, Joseph (Michelle) Kalinowski of Cabot; two daughters Marlene (Michael) Sadecky of Springdale and Patricia (Philip) Pollard of Sarver; and a granddaughter, Veanna Rose Pollard. A sister, Mary (Donald) Leyland of Lower Burrell, also survives him.

KALINOWSKI — Friends of Joseph R. “Pappy” Kalinowski, who died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 2 Pine St., Natrona. A parting prayer will be held at noon Friday at the funeral home and a Christian Funeral Mass will follow at 12:30 p.m. at St. Ladislaus Worship Site, Spruce Street, Natrona, with the Rev. Gary Krummert as celebrant. Burial will be private.
