Charles A. Snyder
Charles A. Snyder, 91, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Butler, died of respiratory failure on Dec. 28.
Born April 14, 1914, in Conway, Beaver County, he was the son of Albert and Bertha Stern Snyder.
He had owned the Pontiac dealership in Butler. After he sold the dealership, he was active in real estate development and sales in the Butler area.
Mr. Snyder was a former member of a Butler area Presbyterian Church. He also belonged to the Fort Lauderdale Country Club and the Coral Ridge Yacht Club and enjoyed traveling with his wife.
His first wife, Marion Louise Thomas Snyder, whom he married in 1935, died in August 1963. His second wife, Sarah E. Snyder, whom he married Jan. 1, 1965, died July 28, 2005.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Jennifer J. Zaterka of Durham, N.C., and David C. Goldberg of Falls Church, Va., and three great-grandchildren.
