Elizabeth J. Muto
Elizabeth J. "Betty" Muto, 75, of Butler died Monday at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness.
Born in Karns City, Oct. 9, 1930, she was the daughter of Samuel and Florence Barone Muto.
She attended St. Michael Catholic School and was a graduate of Butler High School.
Miss Muto had worked at the G.C. Murphy store on Main Street for years and later retired from Mine Safety Appliances in Evans City.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
She was so loving and helpful to her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed cooking and was proud to have guests in her home. She also loved watching her favorite sports — the Steelers, the Pirates and wrestling; and she was proud to know the Steelers won the Super Bowl.
Surviving are three brothers, Angelo Muto and his wife, Norma, of Rye Brook, N.Y., Robert Muto and his wife, Roseanne, and Samuel Muto, all of Butler; three sisters, Louise Olenic and her husband, John, Josephine Gall and her husband, Richard, and Frances Draper and her husband, William, all of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
<B>MUTO</B> — Friends of Elizabeth J. "Betty" Muto, who died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Center Avenue, with the Rev. James Dolan as celebrant. Burial will be at the church cemetery.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael Parish will hold a scriptural wake service at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
