Prospect man flees from police
FRANKLIN TWP — Police are searching for a Prospect man who fled when authorities attempted to take custody of his 2-year-old son.
Christopher Gaiser, 22, was at Michael's Motel on New Castle Road when state police and Butler Children and Youth Services found him there around 2:30 p.m. March 3.
Gaiser then fled in a 1994 Chevrolet Corsica with his son, Chance, and girlfriend, Rena Robinson, 22, both of Prospect.
While attempting to go around the CYS vehicle, Gaiser's car struck it, leading to a two-mile pursuit by police before Gaiser fled the scene on foot.
Police do not know if Gaiser was injured from the accident.
Both Robinson and Gaiser's son were wearing seat belts and were not injured. Two CYS workers in the agency's vehicle were not hurt.
Gaiser is charged with recklessly endangering another person, interference with the custody of children, obstruction of administration and various other traffic offenses.
Anyone with information about Gaiser's whereabouts should call state police at 724-284-8100.
