Herbert E. Weidman

Herbert E. Weidman, 87, formerly of Russellton, died Monday at the Concordia Lutheran Home, Cabot.

Born June, 17, 1918, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Willis William Weidman and Mary Elizabeth Pearson Weidman.

He was a resident of Russellton for 25 years before moving to Florida in 1978.

Before he moved, he worked for 32 years as a brakeman for Union Railroad.

He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the Army.

He belonged to the East Union Presbyterian Church, West Deer Township.

He also belonged to the F& AM Penn Brotherhood Lodge No. 635; the Scottish Rite, Valley of Tampa, Orient of Florida; and the Harmony Hills Barber Shop Chorus in Zephyrhill, Fla.

Surviving him are a son, Alan E. Weidman of Pittsburgh, a daughter, Sandra (Kenneth) Murdy of Sarver, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sylvia Morath Weidman in 1987; a daughter, Denice Martin; two brothers, Howard and William Weidman; and three sisters, Ruth Weidman, Grace Raab and Pearl McKee.

WEIDMAN — Friends of Herbert E. Weidman, who died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the ADAM SIEMIANOWSKI FUNERAL HOME, Starr Road, Russellton. The funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Ramsey of the East Union Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the East Union Church Cemetery, West Deer Township.Memorial donations may be made to the East Union Presbyterian Church.
