Jane English Williams

Jane M. English Williams, 88, of Zelienople died Saturday.

Born Jan. 9, 1918, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Clyde R. and Wilhaminia Hardt English.

She was a 40-year member and a past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star 485. She also was a mother advisor for the Zelienople Rainbow Girls in the 1950s.

She and her late husband, Harry E. Williams, who died in 2004, lived in Zelienople for 27 years. They also wintered in Punta Gorda, Fla., and summered at Indian Brave Campground in Harmony for 25 years.

Mrs. Williams was an avid seamstress and sewed for the entire family for years

Surviving are three daughters, Betty Jane (Leonard) Manfredi of Nevada City, Calif., Jo A. (Bernard Jr.) Miller of Prospect and Vickie (Scott) Jacobs of Beverly Hills, Mich., and a brother, Dr. Clyde Neville English of Morgantown, W.Va.

She also is survived by nine grandchildren, Teresa Lambie, Celeste Schmidt, Don Jr. and Sean Williams, Michael Miller, Angela Elkins, and Kara, Kelly and Elisa Jacobs; 14 great-grandchildren, and a great great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald E. Williams Sr.; and two brothers, Myrle H. and R. Harper English.

WILLIAMS — There will be no public visitation. A small, informal service for Jane M. English Williams, who died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Passavant Retirement Community, New Haven Community Room, Zelienople.Arrangements are being handled by the GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, Daugherty Township, Beaver County.
