Ralph L. Myers

Ralph L. Myers, 67, of 125 Brugh Ave. died at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday at his home.

Born Jan. 28, 1939, in Butler, he was the son of Charles William and Ethel Mae Gemeinhart Myers.

He was a furnace operator at AK Steel until he retired in 2001 after 35 years.

He was Lutheran. He was a member of the Summit Township Sportsman Club of Herman and a life member of the National Riffle Association and Ducks Unlimited.

He was a life member of the American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora. He was a veteran of the Army.

He enjoyed hunting, carpentry work and country music.

He is survived by his wife, Karen M. Graham Myers, whom he married March 27, 2000. Also surviving are three stepsons, Dale and Raymond Schuffert, both of North Carolina, and Larry McLaughlin Jr. of Florida; four stepdaughters, Kathie Zang of Butler, Robin Scott of Karns City, Denise Kerr of Butler and Tammi Wolfe of North Carolina; two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Carol) Kramer of Butler and Mrs. John (Francis) Finnegan of St. Paul, Minn.; five step-granddaughters; eight stepgrandsons; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice L. Welker Schuffert Myers, who died April 1, 1993.

MYERS — Friends of Ralph L. Myers, who died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St.Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert C. Huber of North Street Christian Church officiating. Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery.
