John Lee McGinnis

John Lee McGinnis, 43, of Chicora, died Thursday in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, from injuries he sustained to his head after a fall at his home on Monday.

Born May 29, 1962, in Leomister, Mass., he was the son of Lee B. and Patricia Ann Young McGinnis.

He was a veteran of the Air Force, serving from April 4, 1982, to June 14, 1988, and receiving the rank of airman first class.

He worked on various jobs as a handyman in Chicora and the surrounding area.

Surviving are a daughter, Taylor McGinnis at home in Chicora; his fiancée, Dianna Goslin of Sugarcreek Township, R.D. 1, Chicora; his parents of Chicora; a sister, Mrs. Dwayne (Linda) Weber of Chicora; two nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

<B>McGINNIS</B> — Friends of John Lee McGinnis, who died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, are invited to attend a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Zion Lutheran Church, 266 Zion Church Rd., Chicora, with the Rev. David Adams, the church lay minister, officiating. There will be no visitation or viewing. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery at the convenience of his family.Arrangements are being handled by the STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, Chicora.Memorial donations can be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, 266 Zion Church Rd., Chicora, PA 16025 or to the donor's favorite charity.
