John Lee McGinnis, 43, of Chicora, died Thursday in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, from injuries he sustained to his head after a fall at his home on Monday.

Born May 29, 1962, in Leomister, Mass., he was the son of Lee B. and Patricia Ann Young McGinnis.

He was a veteran of the Air Force, serving from April 4, 1982, to June 14, 1988, and receiving the rank of airman first class.

He worked on various jobs as a handyman in Chicora and the surrounding area.

Surviving are a daughter, Taylor McGinnis at home in Chicora; his fiancée, Dianna Goslin of Sugarcreek Township, R.D. 1, Chicora; his parents of Chicora; a sister, Mrs. Dwayne (Linda) Weber of Chicora; two nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

<B>McGINNIS</B> — Friends of John Lee McGinnis, who died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, are invited to attend a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Zion Lutheran Church, 266 Zion Church Rd., Chicora, with the Rev. David Adams, the church lay minister, officiating. There will be no visitation or viewing.
