The Butler Eagle Amateur Open golf tournament, slated for Aug. 13 at Lake Arthur Country Club, is accepting applications.

The 18-hole tournament features four flights and a Seniors Net Division. Golfers must be 50 years old on or before the tournament date to be eligible for that division.

Entry fee is $70 and includes greens fee, cart, Skins game and prizes. Shotgun starts are at 7:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.

Marissa DeCola of Center Township carded a 47 for nine holes, finishing second in the girls age-12 division of the U.S. Kids golf tournament held recently at Butler Golf Course in Elizabeth.Her brother, Mark, placed third in the boys age 9-and-10 division of the Mutual of Omaha Drive, Chip and Putt competition held recently at Quicksilver. He qualified for the Lake Erie Regional Championship near Cleveland July 15.
