Gordon A. Fleeger

Gordon A. Fleeger, 70, of Center Township, Butler, died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at his home.

Born Sept. 22, 1935, in Butler, he was the son of Frank W. and Marie Schenck Fleeger.

Mr. Fleeger was retired after 39 years of service as a crane operator for Armco Steel. He was also a member of the Rider Lutheran Church.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he enjoyed NASCAR racing, gardening and hunting.

Surviving are a son, Richard Fleeger and his wife, Laura; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Donna) Clauser, Mrs. Chris (Lynda) Cumberland and Mrs. Robert (Joy Ann) Bowser; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his dog, BO.

He was preceded in death by a grandson and both parents.

<B>FLEEGER</B> — Friends of Gordon A. Fleeger, who died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, followed by a funeral service at 9 p.m., in the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. The Rev. Dennis R. Hindman, Sr. of the Rider Lutheran Church will officiate.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Medi-Home Hospice, 3162 Kipp Ave., Lower Burrell, PA 15068.
