Lois M. Dambaugh
Lois M. Dambaugh, 88, of Zelienople died Saturday at the Good Samaritan House, Wexford.
Born Oct. 9, 1917, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Charles and Marion Gilliland Young.
She was a chemist at the American Steel Foundry in Verona during World War II.
A familiar face in Zelienople, she was the co-owner of the Western Auto store and belonged to Park United Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Dambaugh loved living at the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople and especially enjoyed the people, crafts, painting and woodworking.
Her family extends a special thanks to the Good Samaritan House where she spent her last days.
She is survived by three daughters, Margo Hogan, Jackie Reilley and Jocelyn Kearns; and 15 grandchildren, Vicki George, Vivian Stevens, Brad Hogan, Kristi MaWhinney, Ann DeMarco, Kim Bettencourt, Kirk and Randy Girdwood, Julie Methot, Shawn and Shelley Reilley, Mary Kay Lenehan, Terry Jacobs, Susan Cade and Patty Chang. Also surviving are 44 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a third great-great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jesse R. Girdwood, John Kearns and Robert Dambaugh; a son, Bill Girdwood; two sisters; and two brothers.

Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Park United Presbyterian Church, 115 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. Patrick H. McElroy, officiating.
