GRADUATES
Barry Sexton graduated from Bucknell University recently, receiving bachelor of arts degrees in biology and psychology.While at the university, he was named to the dean's list six times, was a member of the Phi Sigma honor society for biology and received the Pittsburgh Foundation Scholarship and the Butler Alumni Association Scholarship. He was also a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.He also worked as a biology teaching assistant and completed an internship at the Bioengineering and Bioinformatics Summer Institute.A 2002 graduate of Butler High School, he is the son of Barry and Toni Sexton of Butler.Sexton has been accepted to Penn State University, where he plans to pursue a doctorate degree.———
<B>Candice Markle</B> graduated summa cum laude from Baldwin-Wallace College recently, receiving a bachelor of science degree in psychology.While at the college, she participated in the honors program and was named to the dean's list each semester. She was also the recipient of the 2006 Baldwin-Wallace Outstanding Senior Award and the Humanitarian Award for Social Justice.She also studied abroad, participating in the Semester at Sea program in 2004, a mission trip to Lesotha, Africa in 2005 and a recent seminar in Europe.A2002 graduate of Butler High School, she is the daughter of Gerald and Sandra Markle of Butler.Markle is currently employed at the Berea Children's Home in Berea, Ohio. <B>Christie Bergbigler</B> graduated from Butler County Community College recently, receiving an associate's degree in registered nursing.While at the college, she received the Mary Agnes Schneider Heineman Memorial Nursing Scholarship and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. She was also vice president of the BC3 Nursing Club.A 2003 graduate of Butler High School, she is the daughter of Bernie and Pat Bergbigler of Butler.She is currently employed in the Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit at UPMC Shadyside hospital.
