Larry D. Sedwick
Larry D. Sedwick Sr., 63, of Division Avenue, Parker, died at 11:55 Saturday at UPMC Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born July 11, 1942, in Rimerton, he was the son of the late Rev. Dale F. and Lois A. McKee Sedwick.
A graduate of the Fairview Township-Karns City High School, he served in the Army Reserve and received an honorable discharge in 1968.
He had been employed in the family owned business, Sedwick Lumber Co. and also was a self-employed carpenter.
Mr. Sedwick was a member of the Penn Glade Lions Club clowns.
He is survived by four children, Kathy Holfman and her husband, Sam, of Slippery Rock, Larry Sedwick Jr., and his wife, Amy, of Cedar Lake, Ind., Scott Madey and his wife, Kelli, of Louisburg, N.C. and Jason Madey of Arlington, Va.; a sister, Donna Sherman and her husband, Dave, of Parker; a brother, Keith Sedwick and his wife, Judy, of Chicora; seven grandchildren, Thomas and Hannah Holfman, Steven, Alyssa and Benjamin Sedwick and Kristofer and Kalen Potts; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
<B>SEDWICK </B>— Friends of Larry D. Sedwick, who died Saturday, June 17, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Hile Funeral Home</B>, 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton. Visitation also will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Six Points Church of God of Prophecy, 375 Foxburg Road, Parker, where the funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Frank Sedwick, a cousin of the deceased, officiating. Burial will be at the Scrubgrass Cemetery, Venango County.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parker Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 141, Parker, 16049.
