Olga J. Maker
Olga J. Maker, 82, of the Highfield area of Butler Township died Sunday at UPMC Shadyside hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born Nov. 1, 1923, in Butler, she was a daughter of Michael and Natalie Beletsky Schnitzki.
She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Maker was an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church in Lyndora and was a member of the church choir for years. She also was a member of the Highfield Women's Club.
Until recently, she was a voting poll worker in the Highfield area for many years. She loved flower and vegetable gardening and also enjoyed singing and dancing.
Surviving are a son, and his wife, Joseph P. and Concetta Maker of Butler; two daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Marcia) Schoenfeld of Tennessee, and Mrs. David (Denise) Plowman of Monroeville; two sisters, Ann Spinder of Butler and Mary Pawlowicz of Meridian, and six grandchildren, Joseph, Jared and Lauren Maker, Candice Schoenfeld and Sarah and Cristina Plowman.
Her husband, Joseph E. Maker, died Jan. 25, 1972. Two sisters and an infant brother preceded her in death.
<B>MAKER </B>— Friends of Olga J. Maker, who died Sunday, June 18, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church, Lyndora, with the Rev. Leo Schlosser, O.S.B., officiating.
