State police nab escaped prisoners in Butler Twp.
BUTLER TWP — State police on Friday caught two Butler County men who had escaped from the Sharon Community Corrections Facility.
Timothy Hortert, 27, of Butler and Michael Loewel, 25, of Cranberry Township were placed in Butler County Prison.
State police charged a Butler woman with hindering apprehension and prosecution after following her to Moraine Pointe Plaza, where the men were.
Angela Leasure, 29, of Butler was arraigned before District Judge Kevin O'Donnell and jailed in Butler County Prison.
According to police, Leasure unknowingly led them to the plaza at 2:30 p.m. She tried to flee the scene in her vehicle but was stopped. The escapees fled on foot before being caught.
