Gene R. Eppinger

Gene Richard Eppinger, 80, of Evans City died Friday afternoon at the LAS St. John's Lutheran Care Center in Mars.

He was bornNov. 21, 1925, in Middle Lancaster, Pa.

He was a member of the Westminster Church in Evans City. He was retired from the Mine Safety Appliance Co., in Evans City where he had worked as a welder for more than 30 years.

Mr. Eppinger was a member of the American Legion Post 219 of Evans City for more than 50 years. He was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Robert (Bonnie) McLaughlin of Grove City; and a stepson, William T. Aley, of Youngstown, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Aley Eppinger; his second wife, Shirley Aley Eppinger; a son, and a sister.

<B>EPPINGER</B> — Friends of Gene Richard Eppinger, who died Friday, June 30, 2006, will be received from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday in the <B>A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home</B>, 328 W. Main St., Evans City.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, with the Rev.
