George and Janet Zacherl

George and Janet Zacherl of Saxonburg celebrated 50 years of marriage on Saturday with a family dinner at the Tanglewood Center.

The former Janet Edgington married Zacherl on Aug. 11, 1956, at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Herman.

They have two children: George Zacherl of Saxonburg and Gary Zacherl of Butler.The have four grandchildren.Zacherl is a retired carpenter.Mrs. Zacherl is a sales associate at Wal-Mart.The couple belongs to St. Victor's Catholic Church in Bairdsford.
