Kenneth W. "Nook"Hilliard

Kenneth W. "Nook" Hilliard, 69, of Saxonburg, died Friday at Sunnyview Home.

Born Dec. 28, 1936, in Timblin, Jefferson County, he was the son of the late Floyd and the late Dora Shreffler Hilliard.

He worked as a welder for U.S. Steel Sintering Plant in Saxonburg and also at Popeyes Store in Culmerville.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cards, TV and sports.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Lorah Hilliard, whom he married May 9, 1964; two sons, Kenneth Hilliard Jr. of Tarentum, and Greg Hilliard of Saxonburg; a brother, Alden "Bud" (Nancy) Hilliard of Saxonburg; two sisters, Bernice Dawson and Ethel Plutyk, both of Saxonburg; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lynn (Sally) Saxon of Penn Hills; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were three brothers, Clair, Clyde and Lawrence Hilliard; and a sister, Alberta Benton.

<B>HILLIARD</B> — Friends of Kenneth W. "Nook" Hilliard, who died Friday, July 7, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 West Main St., Saxonburg.Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, with Dennis Mittica officiating.Burial will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery.
