ADAMSTWP — The Valencia Area Community Day will be held Sunday at Adams Community Park, Three Degree Road.

Registration will begin at noon and lunch and entertainment will follow at 1 p.m.

Participants should take a covered dish to share.

PETROLIA — The Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department will host a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Petrolia Social Hall to benefit Matt McConnell, an EMS worker and fireman diagnosed with meningitis. For more information, call 724-756-4710.

MIDDLESEXTWP — The Mars High School Class of 1940 will gather for a 66-year reunion from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Hoover's Old Plank Restaurant, Route 8.

MARS — Aflea market will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 420 Beaver St.Painting program offered at MaridonThe Maridon Museum will continue its introductory class in Japanese brush painting Saturday.Cost is $13 for members and $16 for non-members.Sessions will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9 and Oct. 14.

The following family reunions have been planned:• The Hepler family will gather for a reunion Aug. 27 in Pitman.The reunion will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the grave of soldier Caspar Hepler, Zion's Cemetery.Dinner will follow at 1 p.m. at the Mahantongo Fire Company.Reservations are $13 per person and are due to Ruby Hepler by Saturday.
