Theodore Sturm

Theodore P. Sturm, Ph.D., 68, of Wayne Township, Lawrence County, died Wednesday at the Medical Center, Beaver.

Born Oct. 15, 1937, in New Brighton, he was a son of the late Theodore R. and Alma L. Blinn Sturm.

He retired in August 1999 as a professor of history at Robert Morris University after 37 years.

Upon his retirement, he enjoyed world travel and wild game hunts out West. He also loved training bird dogs.

He will be greatly missed for his sense of humor and unique perspective on life.

He is survived by his wife, Lois J. Hall Sturm; two daughters, Jennifer L. Sturm of Cave Creek, Ariz., and Gretchen S. Sturm of Butler; and a granddaughter, Bailey Woodward of Scottsdale, Ariz. Also surviving are a brother, Ronald L. Sturm, of Beaver Falls; a niece. Rhonda Bowser of Beaver Falls; two grand nephews, Tyler and Evan Bowser, both of Beaver Falls; his faithful companion canine, Sara; and a host of friends and acquaintances.

An infant son, Paul Christopher Sturm, preceded him in death.

<B>STURM </B>— As per the request of Theodore P. Sturm, who died Wednesday, July 19, 2006, there will be no public visitation or service.Memorial contributions may be made to the Bamberger Ranch Preserve, 2341 Blue Ridge Drive, Johnson City, TX 78636; or the Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road. Kanab, UT 84741-5000.Arrangements are being handled by the <B>A.E. Campbell Funeral Home</B>, Beaver Falls.
