Allen Porter Frierson
Allen Porter Frierson, 54, of Renfrew died unexpectedly Monday at UPMC Passavant, Cranberry Township.
Born Sept. 22, 1951, in Knoxville, Tenn., he was the son of Elizabeth "Betty" Frierson of Knoxville and the late Laurance Frierson.
He was a member of the Calvin Presbyterian Church, Zelienople and the Air Line Pilots Association.
Mr. Frierson was a retired lieutenant colonel fighter pilot with the Air Force and a federal first officer. He flew the MD-11, where he was a captain; flew the A-S and the F-5 in the Aggressor Squad; and also flew the F-117 Stealth. He also retired from the Ohio National Guard in 1995.
He enjoyed jujitsu and fly- fishing and was a member of the Mars Rod and Gun Club.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Connie Edgar Frierson, whom he married May 28, 1988; three sons, Laurance Frierson of Washington, D.C., and Nathaniel E. and March L. Frierson, both of Renfrew; and a sister, Mrs. Edgar (Lynn) Faust of Knoxville.

Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. Dr. N. Graham Standish officiating.
