Robert J. "Rob" Shekell, 57, of Foxburg, Clarion County, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at his home.

Born in Pittsburgh, May 20, 1949, he was the son of the late George and Josephine Burke Shekell.

Mr. Shekell was a graduate of Mount Lebanon High School and the University of Pittsburgh. For the past 25 years, he was employed at the Mars Home for Youth, where he has been the executive director for the past 15 year.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Denny Johns Shekell; a daughter, Jessica DeFilippo and her husband, Nicholas, of Glenshaw; a son, Zachary Shekell of Foxburg; a brother and his wife, Larry and Pat Shekell of Champion, Pa.; a sister Carole Scherbick and her husband, Andy, of Pittsburgh; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

<B>SHEKELL</B> — A memorial service for Robert J. "Rob" Shekell, who died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Parker Presbyterian Church with the Rev.
