Dean A. Logan
Dean A. Logan, 81, of Circleville, Ohio, died quietly in the arms of his wife on Wednesday at Berger Hospital, Circleville.
Born July 26, 1925, in Petrolia, he was the son of Berton and Estella Abernathy Logan.
He served as a corporal in the Army Air Corps in Burma and India during World War II.
After returning from the war, he received an undergraduate degree from Slippery Rock University and a master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
Mr. Logan and his wife moved to Circleville in 1970 when he was general manager of Owens-Illinois. He retired in 1984.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Circleville and a 32nd degree Mason.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Corbett Logan, to whom he was married for 59 years; two sons, Larry (Sheryl) Logan and Michael (Mary Ellen) Logan, both of Circleville; five grandchildren, Lindsey (Ben Beshear) of Cincinnati, Mary Corbett of Gahanna, Ohio, Adam (Kelly) of Pickerington, Ohio, Katie of Circleville, Mary Jo Hampp of Lancaster, Ohio; and his great-granddaughter, Sydney, daughter of Adam and Kelly.
<B>LOGAN </B>— Friends of Dean A. Logan, who died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the <B>Wellman Funeral Home</B>, 1455 N. Court St., Circleville. A memorial service in his honor will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, Circleville. Burial with graveside military honors will be at Forest Cemetery, Circleville.Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or First Presbyterian Church.
