Herold

James R. Herold, 65, of West Sunbury went to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 9, 2006.

Born on September 5, 1940, in Butler, he was the son of Ina Mae Ellison Herold and the late John A. Herold.

He was a retired pipe fitter from local union #47 after 45 years of service.

Jim was a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in America in Butler. He was also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and a member of the Butler County Pilots Association.

He enjoyed fishing, spending time at his camp in Franklin, flying his Piper Cub and helping his family and friends. He always had time to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marilyn Blain Herold and their children Jodi and Ken Stockert of Cabot, Jennifer and Dusten Clark and David and Kerri Herold all of Butler; five grandchildren, Eddie, Rachel and Rebecca Stockert and Kyle and Madisyn Clark.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his mother-in-law Velma Blain; two brothers, John "Jack" Herold of Alabama and Dale (Dianna) Herold of Butler; three sisters, Gladie O'Day of Ohio, Patricia (David) Paraska and Judy (Raymond) Heichel both of Butler; two brothers-in-law Dale (JoAnn) Blain and Larry (Julie) Blain, both of Butler; and also by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, David; and his father-in-law, Arthur Blain.

<B>HEROLD</B> — Friends of James R. Herold, who died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006, will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America with the Rev. Dr. Warren W. West officiating and the Rev. Dr. Curtis McDaniel assisting.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Psoriasis Research Foundation, 6600 SW 92nd Ave., Suite 300, Portland, OR 97223-7195, 1-800-723-9166, in the name of James R.
