Mary M. Uram

Uram

Mary M. Uram, 87, a resident of the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople since March 2004, died Friday at the UPMC Passavant hospital, Pittsburgh. She formerly lived in Lyndora.

Born Dec. 9, 1918, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of Steven and Mary Peksza Lukes.

She was a homemaker. She retired in 1985 from the Butler School District Food Service Department, where she had worked in the junior high school cafeteria for 20 years.

Mrs. Uram was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora, the Ladies Guild of St. John Church and St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople.

Surviving are a son, Mickey Uram and his wife, Sherri, of Butler; two daughters, Mrs. James (Mary Ann) DiBiccaro of Warren, Ohio, and Mrs. Donald (Barbara) Nemcek of Butler, and three grandchildren, Eric DiBiccaro of Princeton, Ind., and Nicole Uram and Shaun Schnur, both of Butler.

She also is survived by a brother, Alex Lukes of Zelienople; a sister, Mrs. Helen DeHass of Zelienople, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael B. "Baker" Uram, who died Feb. 18, 1990; three brothers; two sisters, and a grandson.

<B>Uram </B>— Friends of Mary M. Uram, who died Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., Lyndora. The Rev. Dennis Bogda will officiate. Burial will follow at the North Side Cemetery.Parastas services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
