Estella A. Craig
Estella A. Craig, 83, formerly of Thorn Drive, died early Sunday at the Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
Born Oct. 4, 1922, in East Brady, she was a daughter of James and Margaret Cannon McClaine.
She graduated as the valedictorian of the 1939 class at East Brady High School and also was a graduate of the Business College in Kittanning.
Mrs. Craig retired in 1980 from the Social Security Administration in Boyers and was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, the St. Paul Guild and the Second Half Club of the church. She also was a member of the Order of Alhambra Jean Caravan and the Catholic Daughters of America.
She enjoyed reading, sports, music and spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons, James A. and Jack P. Craig, both of Butler; two daughters: Mrs. Dennis (Joanne S.) Hartle and Jayne R. Duke, both of Butler; and a sister, Margaret N. Murphy of Clarion. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Her husband, James C. Craig, whom she married July 10, 1951, died April 20, 2002. A daughter also preceded her in death.
<B>CRAIG</B> — Friends of Estella A. Craig, who died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
