Rose Mary Oesterling

Rose Mary Oesterling, 74, of Butler died at 7 a.m. Saturday, at her home after a bout with cancer.

Born June 22, 1932, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Frank and Rebecca Watkins Cunningham.

She was a member of the Church of the Living Word in Mount Chestnut, where she served as a deaconess and was a member of the choir. She served on the school board of the Living Word Academy, where she volunteered as a teacher. She also was a member and past secretary of the Tri-State Music Association.

Mrs. Oesterling retired from Hoffman Auto Parts.

Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Joy Wick of Butler; three sons Ralph C., Frank G. David M. and Denise Oesterling, all of Butler; seven grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.

A sister, Elizabeth Jane Geibel of Butler, also survives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Claire Oesterling Sr., who died in 1994; and a sister.

<B>OESTERLING</B> — Friends of Rose Mary Oesterling, who died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Freeport Road Alliance Church, 516 Freeport Road, with the Rev. William Glassman, pastor of the Church of the Living Word, officiating. Burial will be at Gruenwald Cemetery, Summit Township.Contributions may be made to the Church of the Living Word Building Fund, 4114 Highland Ave., Butler, PA 16001.Information also is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
