Kathryn 'Tass' Slupe

Kathryn I. "Tass" Slupe, 85, formerly of Bull Creek Road, died Tuesday at the Sunnyview Home.

Born Aug. 3, 1921, in Butler, she was a daughter of Charles F. and Amanda Hickey Hinchberger.

Mrs. Slupe was a homemaker and was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are a son, Carl E. "Skip" Slupe of Butler; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Kay E.) Groves and Sharon L. Slupe, both of Butler; two brothers, Charles Hinchberger of Butler and Richard Hinchberger of Sarver, and three sisters, Mrs. T. Robert (Alene) Sankey, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Slupe and Mrs. Wendelin (Garnet) Kriley, all of Butler.

Also surviving are four grandchildren, a step-granddaughter, two great-grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Carl P. Slupe, whom she married Aug. 5, 1942, died Aug. 16, 2003. A brother and three sisters also preceded her in death.

<B>SLUPE — </B>Friends of Kathryn I. "Tass" Slupe, who died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
