Kathryn R. Mitch
Kathryn R. Mitch, 93, of Butler died Saturday afternoon at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Lyndora, Aug. 4, 1913, she was a daughter of Florian and Katherine Unger Mitch.
Miss Mitch retired from McCarren's clothing store on Main Street in 1976 after more than 20 years in sales and receiving merchandise.
She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, where she was a former member of the Women's Council. She was a life member of the Tanglewood Senior Center.
She enjoyed traveling and was an avid card player. She was known for her great hospitality and excellent baking.
Surviving are a brother, Leonard J. Mitch and his wife, Clare, of Butler; and three sister-in-laws, Hazel Mitch, widow of Frederick E. Mitch, and Monica Mitch, widow of John Mitch, both of Butler, and Connie Mitch, widow of Gilbert Mitch, of Upland, Calif. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.
<B>MITCH </B>— Friends of Kathryn R. Mitch, who died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St. The Rev. Pierre Falkenhan will officiate.
