Harold W. Wise

Wise

Harold W. Wise of Evans City died Thursday at his home.

Born in Harmony, he was the son of the late Walter F. and Edith Harper Wise.

Mr. Wise was a World War II Navy veteran and retired from Robinson Industries in Zelienople after 47 years.

He was a lifetime member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Evans City, and a member of Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM, Valley of New Castle Consistory, Syria Shrine Temple of Pittsburgh, and Caravan 14 of Butler.

He was also a member of the American Legion, the Freeway Lanes Men's Bowling League, and a golf league. Mr. Wise was a former member of Junior Achievement and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a devoted family man.

He is survived by his wife, Mae Miller Wise, whom he married June 16, 1946; three daughters; Carol Korn and her husband James of Meridian, Barbara Nulph and her husband Dennis of Evans City and Marsha Gavula and her husband Michael of Evans City; and two sisters, Doris Straessley and Dorothy Isaly, both of Naples, Fla. Also surviving are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant son.

<B>WISE</B> — Friends of Harold W. Wise, who died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, were received Saturday and Sunday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.Funeral services were at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev.
