Velda Mae Graham
Velda Mae Graham, 88, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Wichita, Kan., died at 2:45 a.m. Monday at her home.
Mrs. Graham was born in Eldorado, Kan., and was the daughter of Charles E. and Ella Mae Berg.
She was married to Jack Eldon Graham in 1940 in Wichita.
During her career, she worked as an administrative assistant for the Arkansas City, Kansas School district.
Always known for her curiosity, Mrs. Graham's hobbies included water skiing, quilting, sewing, baking, reading and playing bridge.
She is survived by a daughter, Stacey and her husband, Terry Steele, of Slippery Rock; a son, Jack E. Graham Jr. and his wife, Theresa Fetter, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; one brother, Gerald Berg of El Paso, Texas; two grandsons, Andrew Steele and his wife, Sarah, of Yosemite, Calif., and John Fetter of Rochester, N.Y.; and a granddaughter-in-law, Paige Hepple of Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; a grandson, Jeremy Steele; and two sisters, Hazel Buchanan and Ruby Helt.
<B>GRAHAM </B>— Friends of Velda Mae Graham, who died Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the family residence at 519 Kelly Blvd., Slippery Rock.
