Mary Mahanovich
Mary Virginia Mahanovich, 83, of Brookfield, Ohio, died Wednesday at her home.
Born in Chicora, Dec. 1, 1923, she was a daughter of Herbert and Florence Emminger Rodgers.
A 1941 graduate from Chicora High School, she retired in 1991 from Howell Industries, Masury, Ohio, where she had been a machine operator for more than 25 years.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sharon.
In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, sewing, gardening and camping.
Surviving are her children, Gary D. Wellman of Masury, Pamela F. Thompson and her husband, Robert, of Howland, Ohio, and Sherry F. Mahanovich and her companion, Carmen Schuville, of Farrell; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Frank Mahanovich, whom she married June 2, 1961, died Oct. 1, 1995. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Dale Rodgers; and a sister, Mildred Mahanovich.
