Bernadette Wilson
Bernadette Wilson, 80, of Monroeville, formerly of Cranberry Township, died Thursday at Forbes Hospice, Pittsburgh.
Born July 4, 1926, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Walter T. and Anna Catherene
Pocernicki.She was a Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Leader, and Master Boy Scout Leader, and was the first woman recipient of the St. George Award for Scouting. She was a CCD teacher at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Cranberry Township, and had been a teacher's aide at St. Maurice School, Monroeville.She is survived by seven sons; James W. Wilson of Orlando, Robert E. Wilson of Longwood, Fla., William F. Wilson of Butler, Charles P. and Paul W. Wilson, both of Louisville, Joseph T. Wilson of Valley Grove, W.Va., and John A. Wilson of Monroeville; two daughters, Rosemary Coriell of Columbus and Marian Bette of Monroeville; a sister, Henrietta Dempsey of Pittsburgh; two nephews, Ronald Kennedy of Virginia and Edward Kennedy of Mount Lebanon; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband James H. "Scoops" Wilson, who died in 1994, and also by two brothers; Joseph Piofer, and Chester Piofer; two sisters, Monica Berkebile, and Ann Kennedy; and a niece, Amber Lynn Wilson.
<B>Wilson</B> — Friends of Bernadette Wilson, who died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home</B>, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.Entombment will be in the St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Wexford.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Forbes Hospice, 115 S.
