Evelyn Buechele
Evelyn G. Buechele, 79, of Butler, formerly of East Brady, died Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 25, 1927, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Elgin D. and Viola V. Unmessig Mann.
A 1945 graduate of Westinghouse High School in Pittsburgh, she was the co-owner of Buechele Funeral Home, East Brady, for 30 years, and previously co-owned and operated Buechele Clothing Store, East Brady, in the 1960s. She also worked as a medical receptionist for Behavioral Science Mental Health Associates, Cooperstown, Pa., for six years.
She attended St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, Meridian, and was a former member of St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church, East Brady, and the church's ladies guild.
She enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, bowling, her dog "Mercury," baking and cooking, and spending her summers in North Carolina. She also was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and PITT Basketball. In addition, she was an avid reader, enjoyed Butler Little Theatre and all performing arts, and loved attending her grandchildren's activities.
She belonged to the East Brady Election Board for seven years, was a volunteer for March of Dimes in East Brady and Adopt-A-Pet in Butler, and was a devoted blood donor.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara A. Ufner and husband Richard of Valencia, and Cecelia G. Foster and husband Dr. F. Gordon of Allison Park; and three sons, Charles B. Buechele and wife Susan of East Brady, Richard C. Buechele and wife Lisa of Cranberry Township, and Jon A. Buechele and wife Sue of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Anthony V. Lenze; Jenna M., James A., Audra C., Matthew J., Elizabeth A., Erin P., and Jon A. Buechele Jr.; Sarah B. Ufner; and Katie S. Foster; and a special friend, Leo Solari of Butler.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Charles B. Buechele, who died Aug. 14, 1992.

Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev.
