Helen Creely
Helen Creely, 86, of Cranberry Township, died Friday evening at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.
Born May 9, 1920, in South Hills, she was the daughter of Demetrius and Mary Phillips.
Mrs. Creely will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit and love of life. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed mowing her lawn. She also loved singing, dancing and ballroom dancing with her husband.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Joanne Creely of Hopewell Township and Thomas and Donna Creely of Zelienople; a daughter, Ireland Roy of Plano, Texas; two brothers, Peter Phillips and John Phillips, both of South Hills; and two sisters-in-law, Ruth Creely and Margaret Fabry, both of Brookline. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Curt, Candace, Chad and Lindsay; and her great-granddaughter, Alayna.
Mrs. Creely was preceded in death by her husband, William Creely, whom she married Oct. 19, 1940, and who died Jan. 21, 1992; a brother, Mike Phillips; and three sisters, Mary Anast, Elenor Evans and Annie Cucci.
<B>CREELY</B> — Friends of Helen Creely, who died Friday, April 13, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. John Hoogerbrugge, LAS Chaplain.
